Privacy Policy for People Power Tour 2026
Last Updated: July 2026

1. Introduction
Welcome to the People Power Tour 2026 website (hosted by Wage Peace International and Palestine House South Africa). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you register for free events, book tickets, or purchase group seating for our fundraising dinners.
As a South African-based initiative, we process all personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
We only collect the minimum amount of information necessary to manage event attendance, confirm seating, and communicate tour updates.
  • Free Event Registrations: When you register for a free public event or workshop, we collect your name and email address to manage venue capacity and send event updates.
  • Fundraising Event Ticket Sales (Single Seats & Tables of 10): When booking a fundraising dinner ticket, we collect the buyer’s contact and billing details. If you purchase a table of ten (10), you may be asked to provide the names or contact details of your guests for seating and dietary arrangements. If you provide guest details, you confirm that you have their permission to share this information with us.
  • No Customer Accounts: Our website operates via guest checkout only. We do not store permanent user accounts or passwords on this site.
3. Direct Bank Transfer (EFT) & Proof of Payment (POP)
To ensure maximum financial security, we do not use online payment gateways, and we never collect or store credit card details on this website.
  • Our banking details are displayed on the product description page and sent via your booking confirmation email.
  • To confirm your ticket, you are required to email a Proof of Payment (POP) to our designated team email.
  • These POP documents (which contain banking details) are handled manually, kept strictly confidential, used solely to verify your order, and are stored securely within our email system.
4. Cookies and Session Tracking
Because our site runs on WordPress and WooCommerce, we use essential cookies to keep track of your selected event tickets or cart items while you browse. These cookies are temporary, contain no personal identity information, and automatically expire after you close your browser.

5. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your information is only accessed by the authorized organizers (Wage Peace International and Palestine House South Africa) to coordinate the events. We do not share guest or financial details with any outside third parties.

6. Data Retention and Security
We take strict technical and organizational steps to protect your data. Because we do not store customer accounts or financial cards on the site, your online data footprint is minimal. All attendance lists and POP records will be securely archived or destroyed after the conclusion of the September 2026 tour, unless you explicitly opt-in to stay in touch with the organizing bodies.

7. Your Rights
Under POPIA, you and your guests have the right to request access to the personal information we hold, request corrections, or ask that we delete your data entirely from our temporary records.

8. Contact Us
For any questions regarding this Privacy Policy or to exercise your data rights, please contact the organizers directly via the contact channels listed on our website.
